The AIMAA is delighted to announce the prize winners for the 2024 Classical Voice International Vocal Competition. After thoroughly reviewing all the submissions, the distinguished judging panel has awarded the Gold Medal to the following outstanding vocalists: Zeng Jiaping (China, Category I ), Alexander Damian Laiche (USA, Category II), Lin Gan (China, Category II), and Irina Mulyarchik (Russia, Category III).

Alexander Damian Laiche

Alexander Laiche, a lyric baritone from Lutcher, Louisiana, earned his master's degree in vocal performance from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During his graduate studies, he was honored with the Best Male Soloist award at the Michelangelo International Music Festival in 2022.Upon graduating, Laiche brought the character of Papageno to life in the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop's 2023 production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. He is excited to continue captivating audiences with his future performances.

Zeng Jiaping born in 2007, he is a rising young and promising tenor currently in his second year at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, majoring in vocal performance. He is a protégé of the renowned French tenor singer, Du Shuo.Zeng Jiaping's dedication and talent in vocal performance are evident through his impressive accolades at such a young age. Under the mentorship of Du Shuo and the rigorous training at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, he is well on his way to becoming a notable figure in the world of classical bel canto.

Irina Mulyarchik

Soprano Irina Muliarchik graduated with a bachelor's degree from Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia in 2019, where she studied at the Institute of Music Theater and Choreography. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree at Herzen University, and a renowned soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, since 2022.Irina Muliarchik's commitment to her craft and her impressive achievements reflect her dedication and talent as a soprano, establishing her as an emerging and promising artist in the world of classical music.

Lin Gan is a young and talented bass-baritone singer currently pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Sound and Song at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China. Recognized for his innovative talent, he has been honored as a "BOB Top Innovative Talent of the Central Conservatory of Music" and an "Opera Talent of the National Arts Fund". He studied with Professor Ma Honghai and teacher Pu Feiling successively in undergraduate stage, and with Professor Xu Chang and art Director Xu Weiwei in master stage.Lin Gan's diverse roles and participation in a wide range of performances highlight his versatility and passion for opera. With strong mentorship from prominent figures in the field and a solid academic foundation, he is poised for a promising career in opera.
